Gosu blue on crackled cream white,
overall in excellent condition!

An immaculate Satsuma vase featuring two golden pheasants nesting in a blossoming garden, bundling in an array of no less than ten finely painted flowers among the efflorescence. Atop the Gosu (cobalt) blue is the pink and gold cherry blossoms (Sakura: Accomplishment); circumscribing beneath the gold frame are lush red maple leaves (Kaede, Blessings); over a dense crackled cream white background, adjacent to the pheasants in the foreground are large chrysanthemums (Kiku: Wealth); There are numerous small flowers sprinkling along the small creek in translucent green, discernibly including Japanese apricot (Ume: Faithfulness), camellia (Tsubaki: Perfect Love), and blue-violet flowers (Sumire: Sincerity). The breathtaking intricacy of the painting reflects the concentration and skill of the artist; signed Fuzan, a well known Satsuma ware artist of the early 20th century.
